Who is Mrs. Riley?

Thanks for visiting my website. Isn't technology GREAT!?! Each year I learn more and more about using technology in the classroom and as an informational tool. Hopefully you'll find something on this website that will inspire you or teach you something new. I am currently a Library Media Specialist, who strives to use technology with students and teachers. I believe students can learn a lot about our world through the use of technology, and of course they teach me a thing or two as well!

Teaching others is my greatest mission in life! As a librarian, I have the pleasur of teaching students, as well as collaborating with teachers. This is my seventh year in education and my fourth year working in Aledo ISD. My experience includes one year as a librarian, two years in 3rd grade, two years in 6th grade, and two years in 4th grade. Each grade level has it's own perks and challenges, but fourth seems to be my favorite age level to teach. Aside from teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family. My daughter currently plays soccer, in which my father, husband, and I coach. My loving and supportive husband is always there for my daughter and I, helping us in everything we do. His favorite thing about my job is moving my classroom every year! (Really, he's hoping that I will stay one place for many years to come!) I also enjoy playing soccer! My husband and I play on a coed soccer team and I play on a women's team as well. We play at Game On Indoor Soccer Arena in west Fort Worth.

Hobbies: I have always enjoyed playing sports, especially volleyball and soccer. Reading has also been a hobby of mine. During the summer months, I'm known to read several novels in a week. What can I say, I just can't put a good book down! Technology has recently become one of my hobbies, due to a variety of websites and a few technology courses. I also enjoy playing with my cute little dog, Pepper. He's full of energy!
